| What is Northwest Iowa Community Empowerment? |
Community Empowerment is a local organization funded by State Empowerment dollars allocated by the legislature.
The organization works with local communities in our four county area to improve the well being of families with children 0-5 years old.
Citizens of a community are encouraged to participate in Community Empowerment Areas, where they collaboratively
lead education, health, and human service programs on behalf of children and their families.
Community citizens also act as local board members for the Community Empowerment Board.
Northwest Iowa Community Empowerment serves Lyon, Sioux, Plymouth, and Cherokee Counties.
